Setting up your email on Outlook

Before setting/restoring or re-adding your email address, its advised to create an archive of all emails and or items on outlook for the account in question, Please see the following article on how to create an archive on outlook: https://support.codeandcopy.org/portal/en/kb/articles/archive-outlook-for-windows

How to add your e-mail account to Outlook
  1. Click File → Info → Add account.
    The Outlook wizard for setting up a new account will open.
  2. Enter an email address to add your account.
  3. Click Advanced options and check the box for Let me set up my account manually.
  4. Click Connect.
  5. Choose the account type IMAP.
    The dialog IMAP Account Settings will open up.
  6. Use the following settings:
    1. Incoming mail: Server mail.yourdomain.co.za with port 993 and check the option This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL/TLS)
    2. Outgoing mail: Server mail.yourdomain.co.za with port 587 and the encryption method STARTTLS

If you are unable to login due to failed credentials or have forgotten your password please look at how to reset your password here
mail.yourdomain.co.za is an example, please replace yourdomain.co.za with the registered domain your emails are set up on.
  1. Click Connect.
    A login dialog will appear.
  2. Enter your e-mail-address and your password, check Save the password in your password list and click OK.
Outlook will now sync with your yourodomain.co.za account.
